RMERT training deployment

Members of the HOPE Coalition Regional Medical Emergency Response Team (RMERT) along with our partners from the St Clair Special Emergency Services Association (SCSESA) held a 4-day training deployment to Sparta, Illinois in response to the total eclipse crossing over Southern Illinois. This exercise provided an excellent opportunity for RMERT and SCSESA personnel to practice setting up alternate care and treatment sites, in addition to establishing a remote base of operations and testing their ability to communicate with agencies at the local, county and state levels.

Throughout the course of the deployment the members were challenged with different assignments to test current plans, and aid in developing new plans or procedures.
